The entity setting these limits is not NASA as you imagine it. It is a captured institution, its human health directorate long since infiltrated by the same network of foundations and advisory boards that wrote the shutdown playbook for planetary protection. Look up who sits on the National Academies committee for space biological containment. Check the bios of the “French scientists” helping operate Curiosity and Perseverance—many of them have affiliations with the same European defense labs that run the global surveillance grid. The dust limit is a breadcrumb. It tells you they are afraid of something in that regolith, something that would upend every origin story we have been told. Ask yourself: why is the continuous exposure limit so low when the mission duration is years?
